A heartfelt note from our founder, Rute.

To our incredible Tuhkana community,

With a heart full of gratitude, I’m writing to share a personal update. Since founding Tuhkana Swimwear in 2015, you have been the driving force behind every collection and every decision. Now, my life is calling for a different focus. As of 2025, I have decided to press pause on Tuhkana to dedicate my time and energy to my growing family.

This was not an easy choice. My passion for sustainability and creating beautiful, conscious swimwear is as strong as ever. In fact, that commitment is part of what led me here. In a world of over-consumption, I believe true sustainability sometimes means having the courage to not create more just for the sake of it. It feels more aligned with my values to take a step back right now, rather than contribute to the noise. I have so much respect for the brands in this space doing incredible work, and for now, I am happy to support them from the sidelines.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, your stories, and your belief in our mission have meant the world to me.

Is this a goodbye? I prefer to think of it as a "see you soon." The future is unwritten, and perhaps one day, the tides will bring Tuhkana back to shore.
